This year, sometimes in late April, Lydia Tzigane contacted me through a student of mine, Netty who once lived in Dubai. I was asked if I would be interested to organize the World BellyDance Day in Singapore. Even though, it was a short notice I was willing to take up the challenge for a good cause. Why not, with the help of Fatema, who teachers at Pyramid Dancer, to my amazed we managed to gather as many as 16 students and teachers from different schools to volunteer to help and participate in this event.

At Pyramid Dancer, we organize mini workshops on the day itself from 10am till 5.00pm and than rushing off to Chijmes for the evening performance. We are thankful for the venue which has been sponsored by Chijmes and thankful to all the dancers and teachers who took their time to come forward and performed on this day.

This year, we had chosen World Vision for where the money goes to and we have the staffs of World Vision doing their part from morning till late evening. It is a day for Charity event, no matter who we chose to help and this is the day which I hope not only Pyramid Dancer but with the network and help of other bellydance schools, dancers and teachers in Singapore to volunteer to sponsor and to do their part to help us in this special day.
