Yoga

with Master Jaya

Namaskaram!

I am Master Jaya and I was born in Kerala, God’s own country in India. In my family, yoga is traditionally passed down from father to son in theory and practice. At a relatively early age, I noticed that I have a special talent to teach Yoga. Consequently, I decided to make Yoga my profession and graduated as a certified Yoga Instructor form the internationally recognized Yogavedanta Forest Academy of Canada.

In addition, I attended the prestigious SST College of Music in Kerala, where I received the Nadanabushanam award for dance and music.

With this background in Yoga and Indian classical music and dance, I am now in the unique position to be able to compose Yoga classes with a special combination of postures and rhythm. My vocal training adds a pleasant note and allows participants to relax.

My Philosophy
As we can all observe in our day-to-day-lives, our mind and body are more often than not exposed to a lot of stress and a challenging environment.

To lead a healthy, happy and harmonious life, the equilibrium of both, mental and physical strength is necessary. Over the centuries, Yoga has been perceived as a non-invasive remedy to help us maintain a healthy balance between body and mind.

It is never too late to start and even spending only a few hours a week with Yoga is better than not doing anything at all.

My Goals
All participants in my classes learn Yoga for life. I enable them to know what to do for their mental and physical wellbeing the next time they come home after work and feel exhausted, with a spinning head and aching shoulders.

I give a step-by—step demonstration of the postures and put a lot of effort into correcting and reinforcing all participants during class. In addition, the benefits of each posture that is introduced in my Yoga classes are clearly explained. I ensure that all participants practice Yoga on the levels they are comfortable with and gradually develop their postures and confidence.

Your Benefits
It will not be long before you feel the benefits. You become more flexible, you will find it easier to concentrate, and you can rejuvenate and maintain an improved posture.

Most importantly, regular Yoga practice will boost your health and energy levels. You will not be the only one to notice the changes!
